SPOTLIGHT ON 2004's NHRA POWERade PRO STOCK CHAMPIONS
PRO STOCK by John Jodauga
For Pro Stock champion Greg Anderson, team chemistry is the most important ingredient in his operation. "Everybody knows their role here and what they need to do on a day-to-day basis. I don't have to stand over anybody to motivate them," he said. (page 14)
PRO STOCK BIKE by Kevin McKenna
After more than 20 years of near total domination by Suzuki and Kawasaki, the Vance & Hines Screamin' Eagle V-Rod driven by Andrew Hines, a bike nearly four years in the making, claimed the first NHRA championship ever in Harley-Davidson's 101-year history. For the first time, NHRA's two-wheel class has the same brand diversity that has made its four-wheel Pro Stock counterparts fan favorites. (page 24)

Analysis: Rookie of the Year Multitalented Jason Line's contributions to Pro Stock's record season went far beyond his four wins. By John Jodauga. (page 22)
Tech: Racing Technology with Evan J. Smith There's no better time to add a fresh set of rings, bearings, and/or valve springs than over the winter. Yet some will park their car and not touch it for a few months. Smith suggests you show it a little TLC. (page 46)
Competition: Moroso 5-Day E.T. Championships One thing that each of the winners at this year's Moroso 5-Day E.T. Championships had in common was that none of them had to be told how to find the winner's circle. By Kevin McKenna. (page 56)
School's In with Frank Hawley The old adage "Races are won and lost at the starting line" is only partly true. As most bracket and Super-category racers know, many races are won and lost at the finish line. (page 96)
